How big is the SAVA BX network, and what coverage can you provide?

The network will launch on 1 June 2007 with about 1,000 Home Inspectors and Domestic Energy Assessors throughout England and Wales. The network will continue to grow weekly as more candidates qualify through the SAVA and NHER Assessment Centres.

Can you guarantee that you will have sufficient capacity to meet demand?

Yes. Over 65% of the 2,000+ professionals currently qualifying to become HIs and DEAs through our assessment centres have decided to work independently and join the SAVA BX network.

How quickly will we receive a completed EPC or HCR after instruction?

We aim to provide our clients a completed HCR or EPC within 4/5 working days.

How can SAVA BX help to respond to questions about an HCR or EPC?

The SAVA BX Contact Centre in Milton Keynes will handle enquiries regarding any aspect of a HCR or EPC that we have provided.  We are pleased to take calls from HIP providers, vendors, buyers and estate agents etc.  Our Contact Centre will be open 7 days per week.

How do we send an instruction to SAVA BX?

There are two alternatives:

  • You can log on to our secure web site and enter the instruction through a simple and intuitive web page. This is ideal if you have a low volume of instructions to process.
  • Or you can adapt your existing back office property management system to communicate with the SAVA BX online system. This allows you to enter the property details just once on your own system and it is automatically transferred to SAVA BX. This is better if you have a higher volume of instructions.

How can we track the progress of an instruction?

This depends on whether you choose to integrate or use our web site. If you integrate then whenever the status of the instruction changes (appointment made, EPC report lodged, etc) your back office system is informed automatically allowing you to view progress from your own system. If you use our secure web site then you can log in at any time and view your instructions and their current progress.

How do we actually receive a completed HCR or EPC?

If you integrate with the SAVA BX online system then your back office system is automatically sent the location of the report as soon as it is lodged, allowing you to print it out immediately. If you use our secure web site then you will be informed electronically when the inspector lodges the report. In addition you can log in and view the web link to collect the completed report.
